Shri Ramcharitmanas also well-known as Shri Ramayana is an epic written by great poet Tulsidas who was also known as Goswami Tulsidas. He was a multi-faceted person. A Hindu poet-cum-saint, reformer and also philosopher of 16th Century famed for his devotion towards Lord Rama. Formerly, the Ramayana was written by Sage Valmiki in Sanskrit language. Tulsidas was acclaimed during his lifetime to be a reincarnation of Valmiki, the composer of the original Ramayana in Sanskrit.
Shri Ram Charit Manas is a great Epic which depicts the Life of Lord Rama who was the 7th incarnation of Lord Vishnu (Supreme God in Hinduism). Lord Rama is also known as "Purushottam" means preeminent Purush (personality). Lord Rama is the impeccable Avatar of Lord Vishnu and has been described as the embodiment of Truth, Morality, an Ideal Son, an Ideal Husband and overall an Ideal King. Lord Rama is Prayed upon as the : 
" One who eradicates all types of adversity and agony of Jiva (living beings); who bestows all types of favour, honour and wealth; by just looking at whom, the world feel very pleased; to that Shri Rama, I bow again and again "

This whole epic of Ramcharitmanas is further branched into seven chapters known as Kaands whose names are as below :
  • Baal Kaand
  • Ayodhya Kaand
  • Aranya Kaand
  • Kishkindha Kaand
  • Sunderkaand
  • Lanka Kaand
  • Uttar Kaand
According to the Hindus, a mere recital of this great Epic Ramayana is considered highly Auspicious and is enough effective to remove various obstacles. It is considered that the benefits of reciting this Epic are increased manifold if it is recited non-stop from starting to end without any break in between which takes time of approximately 24 hours. This recitation is known as "Akhand Ramayana" means “Complete / Full” (without any kind of break).

Swasti Vachan, Shanti Path, Sankalp, Ganesh Sthapna, Kalash Sthapan, Lakshmi Sthapan, Ram Darbar Sthapan, Navgrah Sthapan, Brahma  Sthapan, Agni Sthapan, Invocation of all Gods and Goddesses, Navgrah Mantra Japa (1 mala for each planet), Shri Ramcharitmanas ( Shri Ramayana ) Akhand Path for continuous 24 hours followed by an additional recitation of "Sunderkaand Path" to mark the end of Akhand Ramayana Path followed by Homam with Honey, Ghee, Sugar, Til, Ashtagandh, Sandalwood powder, Navgrah Samidha and then Purnahuti, Aarti, Prasad to Brahmins.
