Rudraksha Beads of Indonesian Origin :

Rudraksha beads are blessings showered upon humanity by Lord Shiva to lead a Happy, Healthy and a Wealthy life. Generally majority of common people all around the world are under impression that the Rudraksha originated from Nepal, India and Sri Lanka. Although the fact is that around 65-70% of Rudraksha trees grow in Indonesia where the Rudraksha Beads were primarily discovered. Subsequently they were also grown in Nepal, India and Sri Lanka.

Resemblance between Rudraksha Beads from Indonesia and Nepal :

  1. Appearance - The Indonesian Rudraksha Beads are smoother on the surface and the Mukhas are represented by white lines which run vertically from one side of the hole to the other side. These lines appear only on the surface and are not deeply engraved as in their Nepalese counterparts.

  2. Size and Effects - The Indonesian Rudraksha Beads are smaller in size as compared to their Nepalese counterparts of same Mukhi. In spite of the size difference, it has nothing to do with the potency of the Indonesian Beads as even in Nepalese beads, smaller and bigger sizes are available with equal effects.

  3. Cost - Due to 65 - 70 % of Rudraksha Trees in Indonesia, the Indonesian Rudraksha Beads are much more economical in comparison to the Nepalese beads. They are more easily available because of bulk production.
