Crystal Balls

Crystal is also known as " Sphatik " in Sanskrit. Its colour is white like snow and it is transparent. This is most widely used for making Idols, Yantras, Balls, pendants. malas and bracelets. It is said that Goddess Parvati and Lord Shiva reside inside crystal and hence idols made out of it can be kept and worshipped directly without any " Pran Pratistha ". Crystal is related to Planet " Venus " and hence it can be used as a substitute of Diamond. It is also widely used in watch and electronic industry because of its piezoelectric properties.
